Introduction.
Welcome to Week 2!
Last week, we learned that there are two important
ingredients to boosting your site's popularity:
- Inbound links from other websites; and
- Traffic.
The more inbound links, the higher your Google Page Rank
will become. The more traffic, the higher your Alexa
traffic ranking will become (a lower numer, such as 10,000, is
a higher traffic ranking with Alexa than a higher number like
150,000). Over the next few weeks, we'll be creating a
lot of inbound links and traffic. Don't give up -- it
will pay off!

Stumbling Blocks to Internet
Success.
- One of the biggest stumbling blocks that I've seen for
new site owners is that they want to do everything at
once in order to become an overnight success
and don't have a game plan. When that's the
case, they get overwhelmed and accomplish
nothing.
- Another pitfall seems to be that they want to figure
everything out so that they do something 100% perfect
before taking action and end up doing nothing. This
is called "analysis paralysis" and tends to be extremely
self-defeating.
Leaping Over the Stumbling Blocks.
What we'll be doing here is following a step-by-step plan by
following the "basics" and taking small actions. By the
time we're done, you'll have accomplished a lot! Just
follow the steps instead of trying to figure them out ...
you'll catch on, guaranteed!
This week, we're going to be concentrating on getting
inbound links from blogs and directories. The traffic
component will involve adding a blog to your web site. At
the end of the week, you will have a minimum of 12 inbound
links.
Okay, I'm
ready. Take me to Day 1.
